MBA vocabulary for the GMAT (9)
Wörter, Ausdrücke, Redewendungen: Im neunten Teil unserer Serie erhalten Sie weitere, wichtige Informationen, die Sie für den GMAT-Test, aber auch sonst im Geschäftsleben brauchen.
Most business schools require applicants to pass the GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) to gain a place on an MBA course. The test is divided into three main parts: the Analytical Writing Assessment, the Quantitative section, and the Verbal section. For more detailed information on the test structure — and for sample questions — go to www.gmat.org.
Some native speakers of English would have problems passing the test. Why? MBA students are expected to express their ideas and arguments in an eloquent way. The vocabulary in the GMAT is difficult, even for some native speakers.
Which is why we're focusing on vocabulary that typically appears in the tests in this exercise. If you're not interested in doing an MBA, wouldn't you still like to use the language MBA graduates use — or at least understand what they are saying?
If the answer is yes, we think you'll find this new series of exercises useful. We'll be focusing on five words in each exercise.
Take our test and see if you know the expressions. If you don't, make a note of them and try to learn them. Bookmark the test and come back again in a week's time to see if you know them.
