This is a perfect way to showcase your employment history and background. Make sure you get your dates and your facts right.  Start with your current or most recent position.

This type of CV focuses more on the work experience of the applicant, rather than the academic qualifications. If you choose this type of format, always start with the most recent position. Generally, companies expect to read more information about the latest positions than about the first ones — unless there is something of relevance for the position you are currently applying for.

Notice the language that is used in this CV. In the current position, Martina uses the present tense to describe what she does on a regular basis ("manage", "oversee" "supervise"), but she changes to the past simple tense to show what she has achieved. When she describes her past work experience she uses only the past simple tense ("developed", "set up", "served"). There is no need to write "I" in the CV if you choose this format.

When you start writing your own CV, make a note of any action verbs you could use to describe what you do. Can you use any from the CV below?
