Did you know?
There is a tradition of language learning in the Netherlands: 70 per cent of the total population speaks English, 55 to 59 per cent speaks German and 19 per cent speaks French.
The Netherlands is one of the most secular countries in western Europe. Only 39 per cent are religiously affiliated, and just over a third (34 per cent) don’t believe in a god.
The Dutch agricultural industry employs only four per cent of the workforce, but it ranks third worldwide in terms of exports. It accounts for a quarter of all the world’s export tomatoes, and two-thirds of all fresh-cut flowers and bulbs.
