Bacon and eggs
13.03.2012
The British know what makes a good breakfast: bacon and eggs. They also know now that the bacon could be sending them to an early death. According to researchers from the Harvard School of Medicine, even the smallest quantities of processed meat such as bacon, sausages or salami can increase the likelihood of dying from cancer by 10 per cent and from a heart attack by 18 per cent.
This news may stop some people eating bacon — at least for a while — but the British will never stop using it in idioms. Take our short quiz on British traditions to find out why.

Sorry, but how can you increase the likelihood or the risk of dying? We will all have to leave this planet. If you eat food that is not good for you it may shorten your life expectancy, but we will all die one day.
Thanks for your feedback. Sad, but true, we will all die eventually. Eating red meat could make you die earlier than you would if you didn't eat red meat. So it increases the likelihood of dying young.
