Learning styles and tips (1)
Are you happy with the progress you're making as a learner of business English? Or are you frustrated and feel you could learn much more — if only someone would show you how! In Business Spotlight 3/2010, Carol Scheunemann does just this. She looks at three different types of learning styles — visual, auditory, kinaesthetic (often shortened to VAK) — and at how you can find out which style is best for you.
In the magazine, you'll find a test from Audi Akademie for you to self-assess your own learning style, as well as learning tips from experts in the field of business English teaching, including Marie Kavanagh, product development manager at Audi Akademie, and Steve Finders, director at York Associates and author of a selection of our online tests.

Five words in under a minute! As you read a text in English, make notes of any words that are similar to German words. This is a very easy way to improve your vocabulary. Look for similarities — not just differences. For example, if you read our Careers news item "Targeting teachers", you'll find these words that are similar to German words:
