Is something wrong?
As I student I earned some much-needed money by typing up letters, reports and invitations. I was a temp for a number of different companies, but I usually had to perform similar tasks. I hate to admit it, but it was in the days of typewriters, not computers, so I had to be careful not to make any mistakes. If I did, it was a hassle to correct them. For example, we usually had to make three carbon copies of each letter, so correcting mistakes on all three copies was also a messy job. We usually just started over from scratch, which was a waste of paper. I also had to spot the mistakes myself before handing them in to be signed. (There was no such thing as an electronic spell-checker - that was me!) Today, that kind of temp job probably doesn’t exist anymore.
Most business people today have to write their own e-mails, letters and reports. Having a computer, rather than a typewriter, makes these tasks easier. But, spotting mistakes can still be difficult, even with an electronic spell-checker. The following exercise tests your ability to correct common ones.

COMMENTS
Hello,
you should not ask why sentences are wrong. You should show different sentences from which one sentence is the correct one.

Thank you for your feedback.
We normally create exercises where you have to choose the correct sentences or the correct expression. However, we think that it is also useful to practise spotting mistakes. It is often more difficult to find the mistake than to choose the correct sentence.
Kind regards

Dear Ms. Deborah Capras,
excuse me but the website has to many ways/links to learn English that it might be too difficult for me.
I cannot find any "structure" on your website, and after an exercise I do not find the way back to the site I started from. Do you have any documentation about the website?
I enter my comments at this exercise because I did not find any link to write you an email directly.
Thank you very much.
Best regards
