Prepare for training
22.11.2008
No matter how aggressive the marketing, how wonderful the design, or how successful the sales presentation, if the company can't follow through with proper training, it risks alienating its customers. The best products should be user friendly and intuitive, but some products will always need a certain amount of training so that customers can benefit from them. If your company sells items that are impossible to simplify, product training is simply a must.
Our exercise focuses on the language a trainer could use in the run-up to a training session. However, we hope that anyone who has to give or attend a seminar will find the expressions useful.

COMMENTS
Dear Ms Capras,
The test and its answer section contain two little typos.
8. beamer vs. beemer
Q: Do you have a beemer?
A: A beemer is a car or motorcycle manufactured by the company BMW.
11. Ü vs. Ü
A: overview = Überbelastung
A: overdose = Überdosis
Best regards,
Uwe Kindsvogel
Thank you for your comments and for pointing out the problem with the umlauts.
You can use both "beemer" and "beamer" to refer to a car manufactured by BMW. We chose to use "beemer" in this exercise.
There was a problem with the system and the letter Ü was not shown in all browsers. We've fixed it now.
Thank you again.
Kind regards,
Deborah Capras
Dear Spotlight
In the comment to question number 11 the word overview is as Überbelastung translated.
Best Regards
Ksenia Sukholovskaya
We would translate overload as Überbelastung and overview as Überblick.
