Word order
The word “if” doesn’t have to start the sentence. There is no difference between the following conditional sentences:
If he asks me, I’ll do it.
I’ll do it if he asks me.
Type 1 conditional (first/future conditional)
STRUCTURE:
“if” + present tense - If Robert goes...
“will”-future - ...Marcia will leave, too.
This conditional is used to talk about a possible future. In the example, the speaker thinks it is a real possibility that Robert will leave, and believes that, in that case, Marcia will also leave.
