US President Obama has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. What's your reaction?

I've found myself somewhere between astonishment and welcoming Obama's award since I heard the decision of the Nobel Committee first. Atonishment because there is no particular success Obama has achived since he has become US President. But of course, he has been very commited in improving the diplomatic way of discussing the world's issues. For sure, it's a long way from making war back to negotiations and peaceful talks. He's been trying to improve the understanding between the different cultures and he has shown that it is possible to value other cultures even you have yourself a quite different "way of life".
I hope the decision of the Nobel Committee will help Obama to survive his time as the US President and to continue his policy of acceptance of other cultures with all their aspects and charateristics. He is one of the most charismatic man of the last centuries - following Ghandi, Martin Luther King and John F Kennedy and we need those charismatic people to help us building bridges accross cultural and political differences. And he has now the position and the stage he needs to reach all human beings, the leaders of countires as well as all those who have not the power to decide.
If we keep on dealing with each other as we did in the past years we will kill each other rather than living peacefully together.
