Business Spotlight is Europe's leading magazine for international business communication in English. It is published by the Spotlight publishing group (Spotlight Verlag) in Munich, Germany. Spotlight Verlag is part of the Holtzbrinck publishing group.

Business Spotlight was first published in March 2001 as a quarterly English-language magazine aimed at German-speakers who wish to improve their business communication skills. Since 2006, the magazine has been published six times a year. It currently has a paid circulation of 58,000 copies, of which some 40,000 are subscriptions.

The main markets for Business Spotlight are Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland. The main areas covered by Business Spotlight are:

• Language: traditional areas of general and business English, including grammar, vocabulary and idioms.
  
• Business Skills: meetings, small talk, telephoning, presentations, negotiating, e-mails etc.
• Intercultural Communication: working with people from other countries or business cultures.
• Careers: advice on job applications, job interviews, networking, qualifications and career choices.
• Management: trends in management thinking, as well as advice from successful leaders.
• Technology: the latest developments in science and technology, plus specialist technical language.
• Global Business: news from the global business world, press reports and columnists.
  

The Business Spotlight editorial team in Munich, led by editor-in-chief Ian McMaster from England, is made up of journalists, language experts, teachers and production staff from Australia, Canada, Croatia, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, South Africa and the United States. The magazine also has an extensive network of expert correspondents around the world. Business Spotlight Online is managed by language expert and deputy editor Deborah Capras from England, an experienced business English trainer.

Business Spotlight also produces a regular CD/download (Business Spotlight Audio), an exercise workbook (Business Spolight plus), a teaching supplement (Business Spotlight in the Classroom) and a range of special pocket booklets and other publications.
