The correct answer is: complacent

Germany can't afford to be complacent about today's match against Spain. It won't be easy.

If you are complacent about something, you feel too confident and too relaxed about your achievements or abilities.

complacent = selbstgefällig, selbstzufrieden

If you are compliant, you agree too quickly to do what other people ask of you. Used in a business context, it means that something has been designed to meet certain standards or laws. (The bank has introduced new Shariah-compliant credit cards.)

compliant = willfährig, gefügig; (Bestimmungen, Vorschriften) entsprechend

erfüllen
