Under pressure from Germany and France, the Greek prime minister has dropped plans to hold a referendum on the euro rescue deal. We look at media comment.

Slovakia doesn’t have any joints to grease, but I’m sure some people thought about greasing a few palms there to influence the vote on the eurozone rescue fund.

It is time once again to play one of my favourite games. It is called "Euro-crisis? What euro-crisis?" The last time we played, if my memory serves me right, was at the beginning of August. At the time, the euro stood at $1.31.

This week, we have a little test for you. Oh, come on, stop complaining — we haven't done one for a long time. The question is very simple: what is the current euro/dollar exchange rate to two decimal places? Don't cheat now...
