Low expectations

Having just returned from a language teaching conference in Switzerland, I am reminded that my expectations of such conferences are usually fairly low. As a result, I am rarely disappointed.

It is a cliché, but true nevertheless: if you want to know what is going on a city, talk to a taxi driver. I did just that this week in Leipzig, where a special business event took place for which Business Spotlight was a media partner.

Underwhelming or awesome?

US President Obama gave his first State of the Union address last night. He mainly focused on jobs, with a small “j”. The rest of the world seemed more focused on Jobs, with a capital “J”: Steve Jobs.
