More money than sense?

Many English football clubs have large debts at the moment, led by Manchester United, with more than £700 million. My club, West Ham United, also has debts of over £100 million, according to its new owners.

Don't shout it too loud, but the "great recession" may be about to bottom out. Things could be looking up. Hopefully, for my football team, West Ham United, too. But I'm not holding my breath — on either count

Why the child was right

When I was between the ages of 7 and 13, football was the centre of my universe. As I grew up, I started to have more serious interests. Girls, yes. But also politics, economics, the media etc. But now I know that football really is the key to the world.
