Procedure
- Copy the adjectives in the coloured boxes on page 12 of Skill Up! onto cards and ask your students to categorize them into positive and negative adjectives, and words to describe types of jobs.
- Turn to page 12 and check they have understood the new vocabulary.
- Explain the importance of collocations in developing fluency, then show your students page 13 on words which can follow “job”.
- As a follow-up task, ask your students to find more collocations with “job” and “work”, using a good dictionary.
