PROCEDURE
- Tell your student you need to take a break because you’ve both been working so hard and now your back (or head) hurts. Pretend to have a back- ache (or a headache) and enunciate the word. Ensure your student pronounces the word “ache” correctly.
- Ask what other parts of the body can ache and mention “bellyache”, “stomach ache” and “toothache”.
- Ask your student what causes these aches.
- Read the vocabulary and the translations on page 14 of Skill Up!. Has your student been unlucky enough to have suffered from any of these aches and pains? What are their cures?
