PROCEDURE
- What’s the biggest city your student has ever visited? What’s the population? What are the characteristics of such large cities? Does your student like big cities?
- Turn to the column Technically Speaking on page 73 and read the first paragraph to your student.
- Discuss the pros and cons of megacities.
- Tell your student that soon half the world’s population will be living in cities. Discuss what that means for living standards, lifestyles and for the future.
- Ask your student to read the whole text for homework.
