Dialogin conference: Global Leadership Competence
What it consists of — how to develop it
We are delighted to announce that Business Spotlight is the media partner for the dialogin conference Global Leadership Competence. The conference will focus on:
- the competence and competencies required to lead people and organisations across cultures
- approaches and tools for developing these competencies
The conference will offer delegates the following opportunities:
- a wide variety of keynote papers given by invited experts from management practice, academe, the consultancy profession and HR development
- carefully selected workshops facilitated by well-known HR development practitioners
- slots for attendees to showcase their own insights, methods and tools for developing global leadership competence
- an overview of key streams in recent knowledge, focussing on cultural intelligence along with other innovative approaches to and aspects of global leadership competence
- a range of insights presented by scholars and practitioners grounded in disciplines outside mainstream management studies, for example, applied linguistics
- alternative, non-US insights to adjust the balance in favour of knowledge generated in other parts of the globe

Call for presentations
If you are interested in holding a presentation or workshop at the conference, you are invited to send in your proposals by 31 January, 2012. The presentations can concern any topic related to global leadership competence, but of particular interest is the question of how this competence can be developed in managers and future leaders and how those already in leadership positions can be supported.
